From fat & unemployed to lean & employed

my travel from what I never wanted to be to what I will be

WHAT I AM

So, here I am, just turned 27, living in my parents house (this is very usual here in México), I’ve been unemployed for a year, seems like the so-called “global crisis” just picked on me, haha.

This in my journey from the big, fat, unemployed bastard that I am right now, to the big, fit, employed and still bastard I will be in the near future.

The goals are…

  • First of all, get a job, not any job, I dont want to become a telemarketer or something like that, nothing wrong with it, but it’s just not me. I’m an architect, so, any construction /design related thing will do it. No strict financial expectations, I just need a job
  • Get fit, or at least reach a healthy weight, wich, since I’m 1.70m the goal will be 66.00 / 68.00kg (I’m actually 90-00 / 95.00) this through what I call “backyard boxing” (just me and the “heavy bag”) later on I’ll join some MMA gym.
  • Earn enough money to rent an apartment or house (big enough for me and my GF… and her dog)

I’ll be posting everything from work outs, to job interviews, to movies I watch, to the music I work out with, I actually can handle 4 x 3 minutes rounds on the heavy bag.

My gym equipment is the next: heavy bag, boxing gloves (14 on), mma training gloves, jumping rope, stationary bike (so old…!!) an old tire (R17 i think), a home-made medball (5 kg, is the first one I’ve made so, let’s just say it’s not very pretty, but it works), and a home made sand-bag (11 kg, can’t handle more weight at the moment)

So, the goal will be to complete 5 x 3:00 rounds on the heavy bag to the end of this week.

CHEERS..!!!!
